This article analyzes the theory evolution in organization field in the last 100 years. It’s a review reported in the main electronic data bases between years 2000 and 2008, is proposed a matrix with three variables: degree of complexity, universality of the theory and determinism of its concepts. As result of this revision is proposed an organization map of theories which will be useful to understand the evolution of this field of knowledge.
