Líneas de investigación futura en turismo pospandemia. Un análisis de la literatura

Este artículo sistematiza la literatura sobre el Covid-19 en la industria turística. El uso de una ecuación de búsqueda en Scopus® permitió identificar la cartografía científica a partir de 527 artículos publicados entre enero de 2020 y mayo de 2022, la cual aporta actualidad y pertinencia frente a estudios similares encontrados en la bibliografía disponible. La descripción está conformada por dos temáticas principales: (a) impactos del Covid-19
en los diferentes actores que hacen parte de la cadena turística y (b) impactos del Covid-19 en las unidades productivas relacionadas con turismo. Los resultados muestran que las investigaciones realizadas hasta el momento se han enfocado en descripciones principalmente teóricas, con una clara ausencia de estudios empíricos que sustenten dichas descripciones, por ejemplo, un turismo más incluyente, sostenible y responsable. De esta
manera, la investigación futura en temas de turismo y el Covid-19 está llamada a presentar evidencia empírica que permita conocer si las descripciones cumplen o no, y de qué manera, con los desafíos de inclusión, sostenibilidad y responsabilidad. Este artículo finaliza presentando nueve líneas para investigaciones futuras.
