Funcionalism represents a change of paradigm in respect to former crime schools only in the sense that it denies ontological  influences in the construction of the system of the crime. Therefore, funcionalism does not represent such change of paradigm only because according to it, the criminal law system must be constructed having in mind  the  State model.
