Abstract

This paper's purpose is to make known one of our most important institutions in the field of commercial law. Established as a special court by the must powerful merchants, between 1795 and 1810, in order to solve conflicts arising among them. Furthermore, The article illustrates power struggles, between Cartagena and Santa Fé de Bogotá in Nueva Granada Viceroyalty.
