Introduction: Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDS) have a multifactorial origin. In Colombia, they correspond to the main diagnosis group in processes related to the determination of origin and loss of labor capacity. The objective is to determine the relationship between musculoskeletal symptoms and occupational, socio-demographic and physical load factors in workers of a trading company of pharmaceutical products, in Bogotá, Colombia, 2015. Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional study of 235 workers. Socio-demographic, occupational and physical load variables and those related to musculoskeletal symptoms were included. The ERGOPAR questionnaire was implemented. For the analysis of the variables, the Fisher Exact Test, the Odds Ratio (or) with the 95 % Confidence Interval (CI) was used. The Multivariate Analysis with Binary Logistic Regression was performed. Results: The prevalence of symptoms per segment related to MSDS was 79.2%, being more prevalent in the neck, shoulders and dorsal spine (48.1%). There was an association between sociodemographic and occupational factors. A correlation between symptoms in the neck, shoulders and/or dorsal spine with female gender (p = 0.005, OR = 2.33, 95% CI: 1.2-4.2) was found, as well as between these and adopting a bipedal posture for less than 30 minutes (p = 0.004, OR = 3.34, 95% CI: 1.4-7.6); (P = 0.007, OR = 3.25, 95% CI: 1.3-7.7); and likewise in the lumbar spine when adopting a head/neck inclination towards the front posture between 30 minutes and 2 hours (p = 0.001, OR = 4.27, 95 % CI: 1.7-10.3). Conclusion: Bipedal postures with and without displacement, trunk and head inclinations, manual transport of loads, female gender, seniority in the job and age are jointly associated with the risk of presenting MSDS.
