Víctor Andrés Peñates Montes

Este trabajo, por medio de una revisión de la literatura relevante, pretende determinar y analizar la naturaleza y la forma que tienen los impactos sobre el desempeño organizacional generados por el uso de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación que apoyan la cadena de suministro (TIC-CS). Primero se realiza un breve esbozo de los conceptos de desempeño y de cadena de suministro, luego se revisan y discuten los resultados de veintiséis investigaciones empíricas relacionadas con dicho impacto. Se identifica que estas investigaciones reportan impactos de naturaleza positiva en cuatro formas diferentes. Se sugiere, finalmente, actuar usando complementariedades para disminuir los riesgos asociados a la eficacia del proceso de implementación de las TIC-CS.
