Objective: This article analyzesthe relationship between technology transfer (TT) and knowledge generation in the NorTic cluster companies, taking into account the influence of collaboration between academia and companies, which is understood as the process of technology transfer that links the capacity of absorption, assimilation and transmission of knowledge and technologies of organizations, in front of external and/or internal sources of the environment, in order to develop competitive and innovative advantages. Methodology: For the above, a correlational study is proposed with technology-based organizations linked to a regional cluster, in order to understand the tt processes and identify their relationship with the knowledge and technological resources generated and available to their environment. Key findings: There is a significant positive correlation between the variables of knowledge generation and TT. This indicates the use of available technological resources, supported by the absorption capacity of organizations derived from the accumulation of knowledge through academic training and the generation of their own knowledge. Conclusions: The research suggests that the “Informal Transfer” dimension does not present a significant correlation with the other variables, indicating that informal transfer mechanisms are not necessarily associated with the presence of knowledge generation and TT.
