La sostenibilidad económica, social y ambiental de todas las organizaciones es un desafío constante en la actualidad. Los sistemas sanitarios tienen la obligación de mantener el bienestar de las personas, prestar servicios de excelente calidad al menor costo posible y controlar los impactos negativos sobre el medio ambiente. Al respecto, se han desarrollado diferentes investigaciones que buscan abordar esta problemática. Objetivo y metodología: revisar esta literatura utilizando técnicas bibliométricas y análisis temático cualitativo para analizar el estado de la producción científica sobre sostenibilidad en los servicios de atención sanitaria. Resultados principales: detallan países, autores y revistas más representativas en el campo; las tendencias temáticas, y las brechas para futuros estudios. Conclusiones: este documento pretende contribuir al conocimiento y comprensión del panorama actual de la sostenibilidad en los sistemas sanitarios, ofreciendo una base sólida para investigadores, gestores y tomadores de decisiones interesados en este ámbito.
