Neste estudo, usaremos o meta-análise para contrastar pesquisas realizadas sobre desenvolvimento sustentável e sua medição em empresas ao redor de diferentes países do mundo e na Colômbia, usando critérios de seleção bibliográfica, propondo um esquema de classificação conceitual (ECC), usando um levantamento bibliográfico com a seleção de artigos relevantes, com equações de busca aplicando operadores booleanos, que permitam chegar a uma conclusão respondendo às cinco questões colocadas no ECC.
Foram utilizados artigos dos últimos 10 anos e uma análise da tendência de pesquisa sobre o tema levantado, evidenciando a concordância dos resultados e levando em consideração os critérios de seleção com o ECC. Ao final do estudo, foi possível evidenciar que os países do continente asiático e europeu são os principais pesquisadores do assunto, havendo uma preocupação com a sustentabilidade ambiental, um compromisso social e um investimento econômico no desenvolvimento tecnológico, contrastando com os países latinos e sul-americanos, levando em consideração que as empresas atualmente focam apenas no crescimento financeiro e não nos impactos ambientais ou sociais, o que é prejudicial ao desenvolvimento sustentável.
