To approach to the truth is not an easy task. This implies to reflect and analyze a wide theoretical discussion of scholars about this concept. How­ ever, I will try to do something more modest; this is to explore a particular concept of truth: the notion of "historical truth" within the context of the jurisprudence of International Tribunals of Human Rights, specifically, the jurisprudence of the Interamerican Court Human Rights. Thus, I examine a concept of truth within a strict normative context.
