French jurisprudence relies upon ingenious elaborations to sustain the internal interdependence of group contracts. This work describes various theories with the aim of demonstrating the lack of a unanimous solution to the foundation of the indivisibility of groups and chains of contracts.

In the end, to construct a notion of group contract requires that each party agrees to reciprocally validate each element participating in the contractual union. This exploration does not affect the principle of relative effect in contract.
