El éxito de los equipos de trabajo en las organizaciones modernas va mucho más allá de la colaboración para el logro de los objetivos organizacionales. El propósito de este estudio es revisar los antecedentes, fundamentos conceptuales, características y estudios que diferentes autores han realizado sobre el Liderazgo Distribuido (LD) en los equipos de trabajo, como una alternativa para optimizar su efectividad. Se identifican sus elementos distintivos, corrientes conceptuales y factores a considerar en su implementación. Se discute como el LD puede influir favorablemente en el desempeño de los equipos de trabajo.
