This paper constitutes an effort to systematize some of the crucial challenges faced by those entrusted with the design of massive reparation programmes. After briefly outlining three reparation efforts, the chapter will sketch a taxonomy of these cases in the expectation that this will shed some light on some of the critical variables in the design of reparation programmes. Finally, the article will offer some concluding reflections on the notion of justice that these programmes arguably aim to satisfy. This chapter moves from the factual to the normative.
