Using behavioral and linguistic analysis methods, the relation between language usage and attributive patterns in Colombian youngsters and children was studied, taking into account that this population belongs to different regional contexts and developmental stages. Production of attributive judgments was measured in order to analyze the relative rol of developmental and socio-cultural factors in the complexity of linguistic production and trends of indirect aggressiveness. It was also evalua ted whether the observed patterns are similar to others reported in different contexts throughout the world. In agreement with others reports, results show that there are differences in language complexity produced in distinct stages of development, and in valences and trends of attributive judgments in different regional contexts in Colombia. Two rising hypotheses are proposed: (1) there are neurodevelopmental factors that affect competent linguistic performance, through universal patterns of late development; (2) socio-cultural context is a key factor in attributive judgments choice and indirect aggressiveness patterns
