Revista Economía del Rosario is a peer-reviewed academic journal engaged in the publication of new articles resulting from research of high theoretical, empirical, or applied quality or the study of economic policy implications in any area of Economics. It is an open access bi-annual publication of articles in Spanish and English, open to the entire national and international community specializing in the Economic Sciences field.

Revista de Economía del Rosario is an academic publication, the articles of which are subject to peer review under the double-blind modality. A bi-annual publication that focuses on unpublished articles derived from research of high theoretical, empirical, or applied quality or studies of economic policy implications in any area of Economics. Short articles, literature reviews, notes, and comments are also highly welcome.

Once an article has been submitted for its potential publication in the journal, it is assumed as not being considered for publication in a different journal. In addition, the author accepts responsibility for all legal connotations associated with the originality of their work and its compliance with copyright- and plagiarism-related standards. Similarly, as from 2014, each journal article and issue has a DOI that serves as digital identifier.

The institutional reference on the journal’s name just implies that this is an initiative of the School of Economics of Universidad del Rosario. Therefore, the journal welcomes all members of the academic community, both from Colombia and abroad.

1. The editorial coordination team of Revista de Economía will launch a widespread call for manuscript submission; those who wish to participate will have a previously stipulated deadline within which to send their proposal.
2. Upon manuscript receipt, Turnitin software will be applied to detect any type of plagiarism. After that, the editorial coordination team will confirm receipt to the author, make a record of the document, and disclose the work’s title to two external peers, without revealing the author’s name, to conduct a review. Reviewers will be carefully selected by considering the manuscript’s subject and the specialized knowledge required for each subject.
3. The external reviewers will check the articles and deliver the result of their assessment in writing, filling out the assessment form. The review process conducted by external peers will conclude after 4 to 5 weeks.
4. Then, the article will be approved, rejected, or returned to its authors to make adjustments or changes.
5. Where applicable, the editorial coordination team will proceed to do the following:
   • Inform the author of article approval and begin the text processing for its publication.
   • Inform the author of article rejection and the reasons that prevented its publication as provided by the peer reviewer.
   • When the peer reviewer finds an article suitable for publication, although requiring some adjustments, the editorial coordination team will send the corresponding notes to the author in writing.
   • In any of the three preceding cases, the journal’s editorial coordination team will inform the author of the peer review results in writing.
   • Under no circumstances will the final results of the review process be subject to appeal.

To strengthen the scientific integrity of research published by the journal, the CRediT taxonomy, established by CASRAI, will be adopted as of the second half of 2021. The article will include the description of the contributing roles of the authors who sign the publication. The level of contribution and type will be defined in accordance with the 14 contributor roles (https://casrai.org/credit/ ), with the possibility for a single author to simultaneously take on some of the following roles:

Authors invest the journal with the right to publish their work for the first time, just as under the Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows third parties to share their work by acknowledging its authorship and the original publication in this journal.

The journals edited by Universidad del Rosario ensure the digital preservation of its content through the system.

In addition, the works published in this university’s journal allow for the self-archiving of the version published by the editor (“published version”) in the repositories of the institutions where the authors are affiliated, and the inclusion of the URL corresponding to the journal’s file in which the article can be found is strongly advised.

• The version published by the editor (“published version”) needs to be included.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal will be exclusively used for the purposes described by this journal and will never be disclosed toward any other purpose or third party. The review process adopts a double-blind methodology, i.e., it is carried out anonymously, and the only person who knows the identities of both the author and the reviewer is the journal’s editor, who is in charge of sending correspondence.

Manuscripts subjected to review by Universidad del Rosario’s journals must be original and unpublished. The editorial team will review the authenticity of all manuscripts submitted to the journal through different means, such as the Turnitin tool. When an article is subjected to review, the authors accept that the document will be examined toward avoiding plagiarism of any kind and promoting ethical policies in publications.
