This study analyzes the trajectory and impact of the Avances en Psicología Latinoamericana (APL) journal through a historical-bibliometric review covering the period 2006–2025. It examines productivity, authorship, collaboration, citation, impact, and thematic evolution based on 565 documents (546 articles and 19 reviews) indexed in Scopus and authored by researchers from 30 countries were analyzed. Productivity followed Lotka’s Law and showed a sustained increase in scientific collaboration, as reflected in the Lawani and Subramanyam indices. The journal achieved an h-index of 19 and 2,300 citations, with Brazil, Colombia, and Argentina as the leading countries of affiliation. The most cited articles focused on burnout, executive functions, problematic Internet use, and empathy. The co-word analysis revealed strong editorial stability and a thematic shift toward areas such as mental health, education, and family. The results highlight the importance of APL in the disseminating of psychological knowledge, marked by increasing internationalization, gender equity, and an ethical commitment to scientific communication.
