The objective of this article is to evaluate climate change in the city of Pereira, Colombia, over the last fifty years. The development of this research was carried out based on the information reported by the Matecaña airport weather station, where the variables analyzed were average, maximum, and minimum temperature expressed in degrees Celsius, in addition to relative humidity measured in percentage. For the analysis of the information, the general linear model was used, supplemented with the multivariate technique manova. When the variables under study were evaluated jointly, a statistical difference was detected in the last two decades, which is evidence of climate change in the city, where the minimum temperature has increased by 1.5°C, the maximum temperature by 0.3°C, and the average temperature has not changed significantly. Relative humidity increased by 6,58% in the last period compared to the first one evaluated.
