Este artigo desenvolve uma reflexão sobre o processo de automação da moderação de conteúdo em redes sociais. Para isso, o artigo está dividido em duas partes. A primeira parte enfoca as consequências políticas de delegar a um algoritmo o julgamento que distingue entre o que é e o que não é “publicável”. Trata-se de compreender as consequências políticas geradas pelo processo de automação do que uma certa tradição filosófica chamou de “bom senso”. A segunda parte enfoca a dimensão político-econômica por trás desse processo de automação. Numa metodologia crítica (pós-marxista), examina-se a relação entre trabalho e valor subjacente a esta “automação do senso comum”. Na perspectiva de uma crítica à economia política, sugere-se que a automação da moderação de conteúdos depende de uma apropriação e exploração do “comum”. Nesse sentido, a moderação e automação de conteúdo funcionam como um caso exemplar de análise dos conceitos de trabalho e valor no denominado “extrativismo de dados” e “capitalismo de plataforma”.
