Procedure for Papers Submitted to the Blattmann, Odio Benito & Steiner Essay Competition

Papers, which need to be unpublished and not co-authored, must be submitted in Word format and be 8,000–10,000 words long (including the abstract, keywords, footnotes, and the final bibliography). Papers will be submitted in Spanish or Portuguese, be in compliance with the 2016 APA style guidelines, and include an abstract of up to 200 words at the beginning of the text, followed by five keywords, and then by a final bibliographic reference section listing all works and documents cited throughout the document.

Papers must always be written in Times New Roman, 12 point font, and 1.5 line spacing. Please write “Unpublished paper for the 6th Edition of the Blattmann, Odio Benito & Steiner Essay Competition” in the subject of the email.

Participant name, passport, or national identity card number, nationality, age, degree obtained, or highest level of qualification and contact details (email address and phone number) must be included in the body of the paper submission email. The said details must also be included at the top of the paper’s first page. Under no circumstances may details identifying its author be included in any other part of the document.

Participants will receive an acknowledgment of receipt upon their paper’s submission.

Procedure Regarding Public Calls for Research Articles

ANIDIP’s call section features continuously open calls for the submission of unpublished research articles prepared by PhD candidates, university lecturers, or professionals with 10 years’ experience in subjects related to peace and the armed conflict, serious human rights violations, international crimes, international justice (particularly criminal), and transitional justice. The journal accepts articles dealing with subjects related to the various branches of human and social sciences, such as anthropology, political sciences, national and international law, economics, philosophy, psychology, international relations, psychology, sociology, and theology. The multidisciplinary approach is positively assessed.

There is no time limitation at all; hence, works are consistently received throughout the year. Each year, articles submitted up to July 31 will be considered for publication in the issue to be published in January of the following year.

In addition to being unpublished, articles must be between 8000 and 10,000 words long (including footnotes, the initial abstract, and the bibliographic reference list).

Articles must be submitted in Spanish and Portuguese, following the style and citation guidelines outlined in Annex I. Articles will, in all cases, be formatted using Times New Roman, 12 point font, and 1.5 line spacing. An abstract not exceeding 200 words in Spanish or Portuguese must be placed at the top of the page, before the beginning of the first section, in addition to five keywords. A list of bibliographic references must be included at the end of every article.

At the top of the research article’s first page, the author must include the following information: ORCID code and first and last name; passport or identity card number; nationality, age; master’s and/or doctorate degree, institutions and years of teaching International Criminal Law (or related subjects); roles performed in national and international courts and length of service; essays and papers published in national or international indexed journals; and contact details (email address and phone number).

No information that might help identify the paper’s author will be included anywhere else in the research article. Once submitted, receipt will be acknowledged.
