The traditional territorial management of protected natural areas promoted by governments has a debatable socio-ecological effectiveness. In search of an alternative to this problem, this research documents a case of community-based land management. The work is carried out from the perspective of practice theories to achieve a holistic vision capable of deepening the understanding and interpretation of the case. The study was carried out through semistructured interviews applied to a heterogeneous group of those involved in territorial management, supported by conversations, observations, and review of relevant documents. The results were the construction of a territorial management scheme, which specifies the agency of the habitats and their interaction with structuring factors, an analysis of the functionality of the practices, and a reflection on the potential of the study to guide the construction of package configurations of practices that are favorable for socio-ecological improvement.
