É possível separar o terrorismo da insurgência armada? Toda expressão armada é terrorismo? O território é um método de ação ao uma lógica de ação? Este artigo apresenta uma análise da insurgência à luz da era antiterrorista do novo século. Com a utilização do exemplo do Vietnã o autor assinala como a insurgência armada tem sido assinalada de “terrorista”; no entanto, deve revisar-se detidamente e de maneira estratégica este conceito para entender melhor a natureza da violência de dois fenómenos diferentes: a insurgência transnacional e o terrorismo transnacional.
