Abstract

In maritime jargon, a bridge watch refers to the crew member—or their shift—responsible for the surveillance (watch) of the ship's command point, commonly known as the bridge. It is, therefore, the person who supervises and controls the ship's navigation center with the primary purpose of ensuring its safety.

Postdoctoral Researcher at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in Barcelona, Spain. PhD in Law from UPF, with specialized diplomas in Constitutional Justice from the University of Pisa, Italy, and in Interpretation and Application of the Constitution from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. International Diploma in Public Law and Multilevel Protection of Human Rights from the University for Peace (Costa Rica), Heidelberg University (Germany), and the Max Planck Institute.
