The purpose of this essay is to reflect on the impact and benefits of technology-derived modernization in international legal cooperation, particularly with regard to the processes of service of process, service of documents and taking of evidence to be carried out in foreign jurisdictions from the perspective of Argentine Private International Law.


            With a particular focus on the recent Guide to Good Practices in International Jurisdictional Cooperation for the Americas, approved within the framework of the Inter-American Juridical Committee, the purpose of this paper is to outline how technology impacts on the responses that Private International Law is able to provide.
