Escala de deseabilidad social infantil (EDSI): evidencias de validez factorial y fiabilidad

Resumen


El objetivo de este estudio ha sido adaptar la Escala de Deseabilidad Social Infantil (EDSI) al contexto brasileño, reuniendo evidencias de su validez factorial y fiabilidad. Do estudios han sido realizados. En el Estudio 1 han participado 228 estudiantes de Educación Primaria con edad promedia de 11 años (53% mujeres), que contestaron la EDSI y preguntas demográficas. El análisis factorial exploratorio reveló una estructura unifactorial (autovalor 2.45), que explicó un 30.6% de la varianza total, presentando fiabilidad (Kuder-Richardson) de .66. En el Estudio 2 los participantes han sido 210 estudiantes de Educación Primaria con edad promedia de 11 años (52% varones), que contestaron las mismas preguntas del estudio anterior. El análisis factorial confirmatorio corroboró la estructura unifactorial de la medida (χ²/gl = 1.53, GFI = .96, AGFI = .93, CFI = .94, TLI = .92, RMSEA = .050 (IC90% = .001-.084) y Pclose = .46), presentando Kuder-Richardson de .69, homogeneidad de .22 y fiabilidad compuesta de .76. Se concluyó que este instrumento reúne evidencias de validez factorial y confiabilidad, pudiendo ser usado para medir la deseabilidad social en niños.
